Playing chess with coronavirus

Poul Due Jensen Foundation to donate 200m DKK, help fight COVID-19
In celebration of Grundfos' 75th anniversary, the Poul Due Jensen Foundation (Grundfos Foundation) has expanded its budget for donations from planned 125m DKK to 200m DKK. The main donation areas remain water, research, and inclusion, but the Foundation will move its attention to the fight against COVID-19 this year.

Solar-powered drinking water for 200,000 in Western Tanzania
On 24 October, after three years of work, the Foundation inaugurated Borehole 2 in Nyarugusu Refugee Camp. With the last of three boreholes in use, the Foundation's water projects provide drinking water for almost 150,000 refugees in Western Tanzania. The Foundation could also celebrate having reached over 50,000 Tanzanians in poor rural communities outside the camp.

Jens Maaløe, Chairman of the Poul Due Jensen Foundation and the Grundfos Prize Jury, awarded the 2019 Grundfos Prize to Professor Morten Mattrup Smedskjær at the prize ceremony in Bjerringbro, Thursday 3 October.

Professor Flemming Konradsen joins the Board of Directors
Flemming Konradsen has been elected to the Board of Directors of the Poul Due Jensen Foundation, majority shareholder of the Grundfos Group. Flemming Konradsen, 54, is professor and head of section at Copenhagen University's department of Global Health.
