Community Engagement Grant
The Foundation awards 10 new Community Engagement Grants
On 4 June, the Board of Directors of the Grundfos Foundation awarded 10 new Poul Due Jensen Community Engagement Grants for local project partnerships involving Grundfos companies around the world . The donations of 2.7m DKK mean the Foundation has now allocated 4.3m DKK of the 20m DKK grant framework agreed earlier this year.

Support for COVID-19 prevention in Ghana and Niger
The Foundation has granted 2.4m DKK (USD 350,000) to support World Vision's Global Health Emergency Response activities in Ghana and Niger.

Smart Water Infrastructure Lab to rethink automation
Aalborg University (AAU)'s Smart Water Infrastructure Lab (Swift) has received a new grant from the Foundation to support research leading to robust design and optimized water infrastructure solutions, including development of new technologies to secure infrastructures.

A partnership improving water access for pastoralist communities in Turkana, Kenya will now work with the most vulnerable to help protect them from the threat of coronavirus.

Playing chess with coronavirus
Researchers at the Department of Computer Science at Aalborg University are developing a model that predicts whether specific COVID-19 restrictions have any effect. The system will be used as decision support for the public authorities when determining how much and how long to close down activities in society to avoid exponential virus growth.

Mapping global research on COVID-19 treatment
An international research group, led by the Copenhagen Trial Unit at Copenhagen University Hospital, will monitor and evaluate medical research publications regarding coronavirus to identify the most effective treatment methods.

More grants to fight the spread of COVID-19
Almost 9.2m DKK (1.3m USD) have been granted towards a number of projects that fight COVID-19 and its consequences. The grants bring the Grundfos Foundations' contributions up to almost 39m DKK (5.6m USD) in total.

The Grundfos Foundation (Poul Due Jensen Foundation) allocates further 17.5m DKK to various emergency initiatives to limit the damages of the COVID-19 pandemic. More donations are in the pipeline.
