Driving local community impact through Community Engagement Grants
With the support of the Grundfos Foundation Community Engagement Grants, Grundfos employees are making their communities a better place by partnering with local organisations to meet real needs.

9 new Community Engagement Grants worth 4.5 million DKK awarded
The Grundfos Foundation has approved new Community Engagement Grants worth EUR 605,000 to support local projects across Denmark, Ghana, Indonesia, Kenya, South Africa, Tanzania, and Uganda.

Normally, Miroslav Petrovic works as a guard at the Grundfos group headquarters in Bjerringbro. Friday 8 July, he traveled to Serbia to attend a summer camp for disadvantaged children and young people.

Grants worth almost 12m DKK on their way to communities
The Foundation has approved community grants worth almost 9 million DKK (1,2m EUR) for local social initiatives all over the world. Additional emergency funding of 2.7m DKK (268,000 EUR) is also on the way to local organisations helping refugees in Poland Hungary and Slovakia.

Change the world through girls in sports
'Girls Saturday' is held the last Saturday of every month in 10 of the most marginalized communities in and around Freetown in Sierra Leone and the concept is simple – a full day where training pitches are dedicated to girls who wish to try to play football.

Last Community Grants of 2021 awarded
This year's last Community Engagement Grants were awarded at the board meeting on 10 December. 8 local Grundfos projects received funding at a combined worth of 3.5 m DKK. The Foundation is particularly happy to see more engagement by Grundfos employees in the projects.

Abomosu cares about toilets
Life without a toilet is dirty, dangerous and undignified, something that the citizens of Abomosu can relate to. The sanitation in the community deteriorated because their public toilet had broken down. Luckily, the community now has access to improved toilet facilities.

The Grundfos Foundation has awarded 11 new community engagement grants for local projects in California, Colombia, Denmark, Uganda, Ghana, Cameroon, Argentina and Tanzania.

Equitable educational response
The ACE radio school initiative was created to bridge the educational gap in Nigeria during the COVID-19 pandemic. Thanks to support from the Grundfos Foundation and Grundfos in Subsaharan Africa, the program continues to reach out to out-of-school children through a radio show aimed at nursery, primary and secondary school children.
