The Grundfos Foundation (Poul Due Jensen Foundation) commits to supporting UNICEF Denmark's fund for disaster relief preparedness: Emergencies 365.

When natural disasters hit, organisations such as UNICEF must be prepared for swift action. This demands permanent staff and sufficient resources to act within the first crucial hours after impact.

"In the wake of a disaster, it is crucial that relief organizations can act swiftly with aid and financial support. One of the most important things to secure is access to safe drinking water for the victims. That is why it is a natural thing for us to support UNICEF's disaster relief fund."
Kim Nøhr Skibsted, Executive Director

UNICEF’s Emergencies 365 fund will receive 3.3 million DKK over three years.

On 13 August 2018, Jean Marie Bofio, UNICEF’s WASH Officer, talks with a girl as she washes her hands in order to prevent the spread of Ebola near Mangina, North Kivu, the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC). “Children and women are among the first victims of the Ebola outbreak in the country. But there is hope and everything is done to stop Ebola. Water and sanitation are critical in this fight because hygiene is the best way to prevent the spread of the this deadly disease,” says Jean Marie Bofio.
