Unity, security and leisure communities are the focal points of The Mary Foundation’s Antibulli initiative. And over the next two and a half years, the Grundfos Foundation will help to ensure that Antibulli’s specific activities reach even more children and young people.
The Grundfos Foundation has just helped to extend Antibulli’s work. This happened at The Mary Foundation’s celebration of 10 years of Antibulli. The Mary Foundation’s chairman Her Majesty the Queen, children, coaches, partner associations and Antibulli ambassadors Mikkel Hansen, Kasper Schmeichel and Frederik Løchte Nielsen gathered to do exercises from Antibulli and celebrate Antibulli’s 10th birthday.

Antibulli is a well-being-promoting tool for coaches in seven of the most common sports among children. It consists of concrete and freely available advice and exercises for the training of 6-12-year-olds that promote communities and unity in the individual teams.

Antibulli has been financially supported by TrygFonden since 2016. From mid-2026 to the end of 2028, the Grundfos Foundation is a new financial partner together with TrygFonden, which together contribute to strengthening the well-being of children and young people in their leisure life.
Growing the Antibulli community
Even after ten years, there is a great appetite for strengthening the well-being of children and young people in leisure communities. Therefore, in the new project period, there will be a focus on spreading Antibulli to more training grounds, sports halls and swimming pools and anchoring Antibulli solidly, so that greeting culture and high fives become a strong part of the culture of more clubs and associations. During the period, work will also be done to expand the age group to include both younger children and young athletes.

Antibulli has been continuously evaluated. Most recently, the seven sport-specific evaluations have been compiled into a cross-disciplinary collection of experience. It shows, among other things, that even small steps such as getting to know the names of teammates and talking about good camaraderie can help make a difference to the children’s well-being. And both children and coaches talk about greater joy of participation and strengthened communities when Antibulli becomes part of the training
Om Antibulli
Antibulli was developed into handball 10 years ago together with Mikkel Hansen’s Hej Fonden. Over the ten years, the Antibulli community has grown, in addition to handball, to embrace seven of the most common sports among children: Football, swimming, tennis, gymnastics, horse riding and badminton.
Behind Antibulli are The Mary Foundation, Hej Fonden, Danish Football Association, Danish Swimming Federation, Danish Tennis Federation, GymDanmark, Danish Equestrian Federation, Badminton Denmark and DGI Greater Copenhagen.
The Mary Foundation’s purpose with Antibulli is to create a team and club culture with high tolerance and safe communities, where everyone respects each other, speaks properly and helps others. In this way, the club becomes a nice place to be, no matter how good you are at your sport.
