Water-resilient cities of the future
With funding from the Grundfos Foundation, the C40 network (96 global megacities committed to fighting climate change) will develop state-of-the-art research on and solutions to urban water-related risks, helping cities adapt to the impacts of climate change and move towards a sustainable and water-resilient future.
Water
Disaster response
In the wake of a natural disaster, the Foundation can quickly reach out via our partners to help the victims with emergency safe water supplies. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Foundation has expanded its donations to emergencies in 2020.
Water
Host communities in Western Tanzania
Nyarugusu Refugee Camp encompasses a huge area in Western Tanzania. All around it, smaller host communities are scattered. Inside the camp, you find all sorts of provisions that the host communities don’t necessarily have access to. With this project, we seek to address some of the political discussions that follow when international aid and resources pass through poor communities to be distributed within the camp.
Water
Water for pastoralist communities in Turkana
Together with Practical Action, we will help 72,000 people in pastoralist communities in north west Kenya access drinking water for themselves and for their livestock. The programme will also strengthen water governance and management systems for rural solar-powered water systems, including already existing Practical Action projects.
Water
Southeast Asia Clean Water Initiative
In Indonesia, the Foundation has worked with Water Mission since 2010 to reach out to very isolated communities.
Water
Combating arsenic poisoning in Nepal
Together with Oxfam GB, the Poul Due Jensen Foundation is working to provide safe water access to 9,657 people in Pidari Village and Fatuha Maheshpur in the Terai lowlands of Nepal, while crucially exploring innovative management models to ensure these systems are sustainable and financially viable to keep water flowing for years to come.
Water
Kenya 23 – next level
Besides reaching out to rural Kenyans, the Foundation wishes to bring facts to the table in the discussions on effects of groundwater pumping.
Water
Safe water and sanitation in Togo
Together with PlanBørnefonden, the Poul Due Jensen Foundation provides safe water to villages in the Plateaux Region in Togo in West Africa.
Water
