Poul Due Jensen
Social Responsibility Award
The Poul Due Jensen Social Responsibility Award is a possibility for Grundfos employees to show the rest of Grundfos how it is possible to make a difference in the local community.

Through the Social Responsibility Award, we will showcase the best local community and charity initiatives across the Grundfos Group and acknowledge the good will and dedication of the employees around the world.

Every year, a Grundfos Company can take home a diploma and a statuette, along with a 20,000 € grant for their cause. The prize money must be transferred to a partner organisation outside Grundfos.

Social Responsibility Award winners

The statuette “Ivan” is built to resemble the logo for Grundfos Social Responsibility, combining a person and a heart. The shell is 3D printed and polished using a special technique. The heart is cut from a recycled Grundfos circulator pump, and the base is an old impeller. The filling is recycled copper thread from the Recycling Workshop in Bjerringbro, where some of the flex workers are employed.

How are the winners selected?

The nominations are evaluated by the jury:

  • Annette Due Jensen, Board Member, Poul Due Jensen Foundation
  • Flemming Konradsen, Board Member, Poul Due Jensen Foundation
  • Mogens Lindhard, Senior Manager, CSR, Grundfos
  • Pia Yasuko Rask, Director for Safe Water, Grundfos
  • GM, previous year’s winner (GIN in 2020, GPP in 2021)

The jury meets in June to select a winner who is a stellar example to others. All applicants will be informed in July about the jury’s decision.

Normally, the winning company will appoint two colleagues who have been directly involved with the winning initiative to travel to Bjerringbro and receive the diploma and statuette on behalf of their colleagues at the Grundfos Prize Event. This year, however, the ceremony is held locally.

The prize was awarded for the first time in 2017.
